1. THE CONTRACT
a. The contract entered into is between The Gorge View Holiday Apartments: Mr & Mrs C.T. Cooper (The Owners) and the person completion and sending the Booking Form (the Hirer). The contract is not effective until the required payment has been received and confirmation sent from the Owners to the Hirer.
a. Bookings cannot be accepted from:
b. Persons under the age of 18 years.
c. Parties where the majority of members are under 18 years old (except families or supervised groups).
d. The number of persons occupying a property must not exceed the maximum agreed by the Hirer and Owners.
e. The Owners reserve the right to decline any booking or refuse to hand over a key to any persons who have not complied with the booking conditions, as set out in this contract.
f. All bed linen, gas and electricity is provided free of charge. Please note towels are provided.
a. Provisional reservations can be accepted by telephone or e-mail and must be confirmed within 7 days, by the receipt of the required deposit. Unconfirmed reservations will be cancelled after 7 days without further notice.

c. Complete all parts of the online reservation or send the completed form by post or email and arrange payment of 30% of the total cost of the holiday. This deposit is non-returnable; unless the accommodation is re let. If the accommodation is re-let the owners will be entitled to charge for any reasonable costs incurred as a result of re-letting the property.
d. Pay the final balance of the cost 42 days (6 weeks) before the holiday is due to start. Reminders are not normally sent out.
e. If the final balance has not been paid within the agreed time the owners will treat the booking as cancelled and try to re-let the property. Failure to re-let the property will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
f. Bookings made within six weeks of the start of the holiday require full payment.
g. Payment for bookings can be made online, by phone or by a cheque drawn on an English bank payable in sterling to ‘The Gorge View Apartments’.
h. The following cards are accepted. American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Switch & JCB.
a. In the event of cancellation within 42 days/6 weeks of the arrival date the Owner’s will retain the full balance paid. Unless the accommodation can be re let, then the hirer will be refunded in full minus a £35 administration fee.
b. In the event of cancellation outside of 42 days/6 weeks of the arrival date the Owner’s will refund any deposit or balance paid minus a £35 administration fee.
a. It is strongly recommended that you arrange appropriate holiday insurance cover.
6. BOOKING ALTERATIONS
a. Any change in holiday dates will be subject to the agreement of the Owner.
b. If for reasons beyond her control the Owner has to cancel arrangements made for the Hirer, the Owner will return to the Hirer any monies paid.
7. DAMAGE, LOSS AND NUISANCE
a. The Hirer agrees:-
b. THERE WILL BE NO SMOKING IN THE APPARTMENTS AT ANY TIME, IN ACCORDANCE WITH UK LAW.
c. That the supervision of any adult requiring care, remains the responsibility of the Hirer at all times.
d. To be responsible for leaving the accommodation in good order and clean condition, otherwise a cleaning charge will be levied.
e. To pay for any damage or loss however caused, excluding reasonable wear and tear incurred during occupation.
f. Not to cause nuisance or annoyance to occupants of adjacent apartments.
g. To allow reasonable access to the property by the Owners, or the Owners employees, if deemed necessary by the Owners.
h. If in the opinion of the Owners any person is not suitable to continue their occupation of the property because of unreasonable behavior including smoking in the building, damage or nuisance to other parties, the contract may be discharged and the Owner may repossess the property immediately. The Hirer will remain liable for the whole cost of hire and no refund shall be due.
a. Occupancy shall be from 3 PM (15:00 hours) on the day of arrival to 10 AM (10:00 hours) on the day of departure, unless special arrangements have been made. You are asked to respect this. This condition is to allow for the highest standards of cleanliness to be maintained.

a. Whilst the Owners make every effort to ensure the accuracy of property descriptions, these are inevitably subjective and are for guidance only. If there are any points of particular importance please contact the Owners to clarify any information.
b. The Owners have taken all responsible steps to ensure that the information contained on the website and in all brochures, tariffs, leaflets and advertisements are accurate.
a. Liability will be limited to cover any reasonable losses and that are not outside of the owners control.
a. If in the opinion of the Hirer there are grounds for complaint, it is the duty of the Hirer to take it up with the Owners as soon as possible and in any event before departure to allow remedial action to be taken.
b. As a participant in the VisitBritain Quality Assurance scheme, the Owner has undertaken to observe the VisitBritain code of conduct. In the event of an unresolved complaint, both parties have a free choice as to weather to go to arbitration or not. If either party is still unsatisfied the final matter can be dealt with by the Court, if so wished.
